Change Download Station settings
Manage advanced Synology Download Station settings from Swads.
Advanced Settings reads the setting categories supplied by Download Station on the current NAS. These are not settings for a separate Swads download engine.
Settings you can manage
Depending on the settings supplied by the NAS, Swads can show:
- General settings and default destination
- Auto Extract and notifications
- BT, BT Search, connection, and bandwidth
- FTP/HTTP, NZB, and RSS
- File hosting services and their connection configuration
Why a setting may be missing
Visible setting categories depend on DSM, the Download Station version, enabled download features, and the current account's permissions. Swads only shows settings supplied by the NAS. Unsupported categories appear as unavailable or are omitted.
Before changing a setting
- Confirm the intended NAS is selected.
- Wait for the instance to become connected.
- Open Advanced Settings and choose the category.
- Use the page action to save or apply the change.
Changes affect Download Station on the NAS. Bandwidth, destination, and protocol settings can change the behavior of all tasks, not only the current device.
