Important qualifications
“DSM 6 may work” is not the same as a tested support guarantee. Swads can handle older DSM sign-in responses, but it is primarily designed for DSM 7. If you use DSM 6, test sign-in and task operations before relying on it.
Connection support also does not guarantee that every address is reachable. Remote access can still be affected by QuickConnect availability, router and firewall rules, DSM ports, HTTPS certificates, DNS, and the current network.
Required NAS setup
- Install and enable Download Station from DSM Package Center.
- Give the DSM account permission to use Download Station.
- Choose either a QuickConnect ID or a reachable direct address.
- If sign-in or tasks fail, follow the DSM login and permissions guide.

This matrix was verified against the current compatibility of Swads 0.8.4 on August 3, 2026. It does not represent every historical App Store build.
