System and DSM requirements

Apple device requirements
- An iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 18.6 or later
- A Mac running macOS 15.6 or later
Swads is built natively for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with interfaces suited to both touch and desktop use.
Synology requirements
You also need:
- A Synology NAS with the Download Station package installed and enabled from DSM Package Center
- A DSM account with permission to use Download Station
Swads is developed primarily for DSM 7. DSM 6 should work in theory but has not received the same level of testing.
How to install Download Station
- Sign in to Synology DSM.
- Open Package Center.
- Search for Download Station, then choose Install.
- After installation, confirm that the package is enabled and can be opened.
- In DSM user or application permissions, allow the account you use with Swads to access Download Station.
Swads connects directly to the Download Station package on your NAS. If the package is not installed, is not running, or the current account lacks permission, Swads cannot load the task list.
