Add a download task

Add a Download Station task to your Synology NAS from a file or URL, including magnet links, in Swads.

Swads can create Download Station tasks from a file or URL. New tasks are sent to the currently selected NAS instance, so confirm that the right instance is active before you start.

Add a task from a file

Supported file types:

  • .torrent
  • .nzb
  • .txt
  1. Choose New Task in the task queue.
  2. Select Open a File as the category.
  3. Choose the file and a destination folder on the NAS.
  4. If the source contains multiple files, enable Select files to choose the content before submitting.
  5. Confirm the new task.

Add a task from URLs

The URL input supports:

  • http and https
  • ftp, ftps, and sftp
  • magnet
  • thunder
  • flashget
  • qqdl

Enter one URL per line to submit multiple addresses at once. Then select a destination folder and confirm the task.

Confirm the task was created

The task appears in the current instance's task queue after it is created. If it does not appear immediately, refresh the queue and confirm that the same NAS instance is selected.
